GlassLab Design Session: Wendell Castle
Courtyard Stage June 19 – 20, 2012 from 10:00am – 12:00pm
Designer Wendell Castle works with Museum glassmakers to explore and prototype his design concepts in a public GlassLab session at the Museum’s Hot Glass Show on the Courtyard Stage. Sessions run continuously from 10am -12 pm, and the public is welcome to drop in for all or part of the session.
GlassLab sessions will take place Tuesdays and Wednesdays, May 29 – August 29, as a complement to the Museum’s summer exhibition, Making Ideas: Experiments in Design at GlassLab.
Using the immediacy of hot glass as a catalyst for innovation through the rapid shaping of forms and exploration of the unique properties of glass, watch as glassmakers and designers make ideas in these collaborative design performances.
